Mister Car Wash’s Speedway location in Tucson just got a major revamp, and everyone’s invited to celebrate at a grand reopening event on Oct. 25.
A neighborhood fixture for University Medical Center employees and University of Arizona staff, students and alumni, the car wash at 3101 E. Speedway Blvd. originally opened in 1986, joining the family in 2014. The recent renovation has added a number of new amenities and services to elevate the guest experience.Â
“The Speedway site was completely rebuilt to showcase Mister Car Wash’s most advanced express exterior wash model,” said Alen Keshishian, director of operations.
“Some of the updates include new reverse osmosis and water-softening systems, upgraded power infrastructure for greater energy efficiency and state-of-the-art wash equipment.”
A redesigned flow now allows for easier entry and exit, and 20 free self-service vacuums are available for interior cleaning.
“Every improvement was designed with customers in mind,” Keshishian said. “The new flow ensures shorter wait times and easier entry to the wash tunnel, while the expanded vacuum stalls and simplified wash procedures create a fast, convenient and consistently excellent experience.”
The Speedway property is one of six southern Arizona Mister Car Wash locations that have been either built or significantly upgraded within the past year. Although the updated features may have given these sites a new look, one thing that hasn’t changed is Mister Car Wash’s dedication to proudly serving the Tucson community.
“Speedway remains a flagship location with the same commitment to friendly service and high-quality washes, in addition to preserving our strong ties to the University Medical Center, the University of Arizona and the surrounding neighborhoods,” Keshishian said. “The building may be new, but we kept elements of the original design in place and are committed to maintaining the iconic monument sign on the corner.”
With 22 locations across the region, Mister Car Wash employs more than 600 workers in southern Arizona and is one of just two publicly traded companies headquartered in Tucson. To commemorate the grand Speedway reopening on Oct. 25, customers are invited to stop in and enjoy giveaways, music and free drinks from Transit Tea.
“Mister Car Wash will donate $5 for every car washed that weekend (up to $5,000) to support Catalina High School’s athletics program,” Keshishian said. “Also, for a limited time, new members who sign up for any exterior Unlimited Wash Club® plan at this location will save 50% off their first month’s payment.”
Going forward, Mister Car Wash’s Speedway location will continue the company’s commitment to sustainability, operational excellence and providing an exceptional car wash experience while reinforcing the company’s ongoing investment in Tucson and southern Arizona.
Founded in Houston, Texas, and now headquartered in Tucson, Mister Car Wash boasts 25 years of industry experience and is best known for its Unlimited Wash Club® — the largest car wash subscription program in the country.
