Apparently, Tucson is a Halloween town.
We got blood-dripping ghouls and ghosts scaring the bejeebers outta folks one last go-around at , and old witches and evil clowns are wandering the nooks and dark alleys of , leading the innocent to Dabney’s Hellhouse.
And just when you thought you were Halloween-ed out, seems every venue in town is hosting some sort of All Hallows Eve show.

So if you’re like us and you just love a scary good concert, check out these shows coming this weekend.
- It doesn’t get any scarier in Tucson than Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St., the historic downtown hotel that, if you believe in such tales, has ghosts roaming the halls. From 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, those ghosts will get some company from rotating DJs on a trio of stages for “Totally Hot Halloween.” Admission for the 21-and-older party is $10 in advance, $12 at the door; .
The folks at Hotel Congress are banking on the historic hotel’s history of being haunted as a side show to the hotel’s “Totally Hot Halloween” party on Friday, Oct. 31.
- Tucson’s newest venue, La Rosa, 800 N. Country Club Road, is giving Tucson a Halloween twofer. LA jazz swing band Lizzy & the Triggermen are first up on Thursday, Oct. 30, and are scary good; seriously, that’s about the only connection to Halloween we can come up with. The band has an old-school soul and new world mentality, dipping into classics from the 1930s and contemporary sounds that make them a natural fit no matter the setting, from the Tucson Jazz Festival to coheadlining Modernism Week in Palm Springs. The 16-and-older show starts at 7:30 and start at $25.45.
- On Friday, La Rosa is throwing a Halloween Discotheque with the music of Daft Punk covered by . Dress up in your finest scary ‘fit and slip in for an evening of freaky fun, including visuals by Hypnotique, scary movies, DJ in the Party Tarot Lounge and a costume contest. - Tucson’s popular cover band is hosting a Halloween show Friday night at 191 Toole, 191 E. Toole Ave., with a few hard-rocking friends. Flying Half Full, Swigfoot, Plum and Distorted share the marquee lights with the trio. Znora — Adrian Negrete, Joshua Montaño and Johnathan Rohde — made a big splash in 2023 on not only the Tucson music scene but in the state when they took first place in Alice Cooper’s “Proof is in the Pudding” competition. While you won’t hear stars Chaney, Norman Kerry or Mary Philbin speak, you can follow along to what they are saying with the English surtitles.
