A 19-year-old man died days after he was struck be a vehicle while running across South Kino Parkway, police said.
About 2 a.m. Sunday, Peter Wanjohi was struck by a 2007 Toyota Avalon near East 15th Street, south of East Broadway, as he ran across Kino in a crosswalk but against the light, police said in a news release.
Investigators were notified Wednesday that Wanjohi had died at the hospital, police said Friday in a news release.
The unidentified 27-year-old driver of the Toyota was treated at the crash scene for minor injuries, the release said.
The crash still is being investigated.
