Uptown Cheapskate Tucson will reopen this year in midtown.
The store specializing in buying and selling trendy clothes for teens and young adults will move into a 6,100-square-foot of retail space at 2845 E. Speedway.
It first opened in 2009 at a location in Salt Lake City by the Sloan family, who also founded Kid to Kid.
The store was originally operating in Tucson at the former Foothills Mall, 7475 N. La Cholla Blvd. It closed in the spring of 2022 while it looked for a new location.
The Speedway store, between North Tucson Boulevard and North Country Club Road, is expected to open this year in the former Baum’s Sporting Goods spot.
Baum’s sold uniforms and equipment to local sports groups from that location for more than 25 years. It closed in 2019.
