Recent rains have made Tucson greener, but not in a good way.

Rafael Lomeli, who owns Valle Verde Landscaping, uses a weedwhacker to mow down grasses and weeds at a residence near downtown Tucson. After recent rains, with the possibility of more to come, weeds, unwanted grasses and more are suddenly upon us. For nine years, Lomeli has been weeding, trimming and removing trees, working on irrigation systems and planting lawns.

Some weeds are a little more out of control than others as recent rains have left many parts of the city covered making it a lot greener than usual. The weeds and grasses should not be higher than six inches according to a city ordinance in regards to private property.

The weeds and grasses should not be higher than six inches according to a city ordinance in regards to private property.
