A man is in critical condition and a female coworker was injured in a shooting Friday morning at a Goodwill donation center on Tucson's southeast side, authorities say.
The shooting happened about 9:30 a.m. at the center in the 7600 block of East Valencia Road, near South Los Reales Road, the Pima County Sheriff Department said.
Both employees were taken to the hospital, said Kevin Adger, a department spokesman.
A "person of interest" was taken into custody nearby.
The center opened at 7:30 a.m., but Adger said he was unaware if there were other employees or customers there at the time of the shooting. A portion of East Valencia was closed between South Pantano and South Kolb roads.
No further details were immediately released by early Friday afternoon.
