Tucson voters approved ratifying an update to the city's general plan, one of four ballot propositions on Tuesday night's ballot that passed.

Plan Tucson 2025 includes 14 goals and 198 policies “that reflect feedback provided to City staff on the communities priorities,” .

But the passage of Plan Tucson, unlike the other propositions up for a vote Tuesday night, does not alter any tax rates felt by Tucsonans. The city having a general plan — and updating it every 10 years — is a state requirement. It is not tied to the city’s budget.
Some of the 14 goals included in the plan include fostering "inclusive, transparent, efficient and equitable city governance," supporting the development "of an equitable community," making the city a leader "in carbon reduction and resiliency to extreme heat and climate impacts," expanding affordable housing and access to it, and expand access to quality education, among others.
