Arizona’s championship triathlon team is adding even more talent to its roster for 2026 in a top-ranked US junior athlete.
Rylan Lonergan, of Dallas, Texas, raked in the accolades this year, finishing in the top five at US Junior Nationals, being named the Jenny Lee Tri Cup winner and placing fifth at the Pleasant Prairie Junior Elite Cup and at the Fort Worth Junior Elite Cup, according to a news release.
“Rylan brings an energy and love for the sport which we prioritize in our recruitment process,†UA head coach Wes Johnson said. “She finished the 2025 junior season as the top-ranked US junior athlete after an incredible 2025 Junior Nationals race. We look forward to having her as a future leader on our team.â€
UA took home the Women’s Collegiate Championship title earlier this month, its second in as many years after only launching three years ago.
