Arizona added a tight end to its 2027 recruiting class Monday evening.
Three-star tight end Max Markofski, who's entering his senior season at Mission Viejo High School (California), committed to the Wildcats over Washington State, Minnesota, Utah, Oregon State and San Diego State, among others.Â
The 6-4, 228-pound Markofski is rated by as the 38th-best tight end nationally. In two games at Mission Viejo last season, Markofski had nine receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Markofski is the fifth tight end to join Arizona since the Wildcats hired tight ends coach Josh Miller, who recruited Seattle-area product and four-star tight end Henry Gabalis in the 2026 recruiting class. Arizona added three transfers in the portal this offseason: Cole Rusk (Illinois), Shane King (Southern Miss) and Arthur Ban (San Diego State).Â

Markofski is the third addition to Arizona's 2027 recruiting class, joining three-star Phoenix-area wide receiver Trey Smith and Austin-area defensive back Jalani Culpepper. Â
