The Tucson Baseball Team’s debut in the Old Pueblo is moving up by a few hours.
Originally scheduled to face the University of Arizona in the second game of a doubleheader in the Mexican Baseball Fiesta on Thursday, TBT will now face Yaquis de Obregon in the opener at 5:30 p.m.
Tucson Baseball Team jerseys are hung for decoration during a press conference at Kino Veteran’s Memorial Stadium on June 18, 2025.
Arizona will face Naranjeros de Hermosillo in the nightcap, starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.
All games in the four-day Mexican Baseball Fiesta will be played at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The change was made because TBT — despite being a member of the Mexican Pacific Winter League — is considered an American team now after relocating from Navojoa. College teams are limited to two fall exhibitions against outside competition. International opponents are considered an exception to that rule.
