Kenny Loggins has slammed President Donald Trump for sharing a video using his ‘Top Gun’ song, ‘Danger Zone,’ without permission during the recent ‘No Kings’ protests. “This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone,’” Loggins said. “Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied.” The AI-generated clip shows Trump wearing a crown in a fighter jet dumping brown sludge on ‘No Kings’ protesters, set to Loggins’ hit song. Trump reposted the video on Truth Social, which appears to have originated from a meme page dedicated to the president. Loggins condemned the video’s divisive tone: “I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used... with the sole purpose of dividing us.” “Too many people are trying to tear us apart,” Loggins added, while calling for unity through music rather than political spectacle. Since neither Trump nor the White House created the video, Loggins’ most likely legal recourse would be filing copyright claims with the social media platforms.
