Daylight Savings 2025: When Do We Turn Back The Clocks?.
As autumn settles across the United States, the nation is preparing to turn back the clocks for the end of daylight saving time. In 2025, daylight saving time officially ends at 2am local time on Sunday, November 2, marking the moment Americans “fall back†and gain an extra hour of sleep. The change, which arrives a day earlier than last year, also brings earlier sunsets and longer nights as winter approaches. Daylight saving time, observed from March to November, is designed to maximize daylight during waking hours by shifting clocks forward in spring and back in fall. Next year, the clocks will “spring forward†again on Sunday, March 8, 2026, signaling the return of longer evenings. Despite long-running debates, most of the country still follows the twice-yearly clock change, while only a few regions, like Hawaii and most of Arizona, opt out.
