A person walking in the street just after midnight Thursday was struck and killed on Tucson's south side, police said.
The pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck walking in the southbound traffic lane of South Campbell Avenue near East Irvington Road, police said in a news release.

The impact threw the pedestrian into the northbound lanes and the person was struck by two more vehicles, the release said.
Police say they are withholding the name of the pedestrian pending notification of the person's family.
None of the drivers involved in the crash was impaired, police said.
