A tire blowout led to the death of a father and son Wednesday after their car rolled into oncoming traffic on Interstate 19 south of Tucson, the Department of Public Safety said.
The crash occurred about noon when the tire of a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck — occupied by Manuel Encinas, 56, and his son Juan Encinas, 35 — blew out, causing the northbound truck to veer into the median and roll toward the southbound side of the interstate.

A 56-year-old man and his 35-year-old son were killed Wednesday in a rollover crash on Interstate 19 south of Tucson.
Investigators said the truck came to rest upside down on top of the hood of a small KIA SUV.
DPS said the father and son, both of Tucson, were thrown from the pickup and were pronounced dead at the crash scene. Four people inside the KIA were treated and released.
A portion of the interstate was shut down for several hours.
