A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in a collision with a vehicle on Tucson's south side, police said.
James Richard Forshey, 64, was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound in the 4100 block of East Valencia Road about 7 a.m. when he collided with a Dodge Journey station wagon that was turning left from the eastbound turn lane, Tucson police said in a news release.
Forshey died at the crash scene, just east of South Alvernon Way.
The unidentified driver of the Dodge stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, the release said.
While the crash remain under investigation, failure to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left-hand turn is the primary contributing factor in the crash, the release said.
