The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help finding a driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash late last month.
About 9:30 p.m. May 24, 2025, Robert Netherton, 63, was found by deputies lying in the road in the 3600 block of South Palo Verde Road, near East Ajo Way, the department said in a news release.
Using surveillance footage near the scene, investigators were able to identify a dark-colored, 1999 – 2002 GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck that struck Netherton, the release said.

The truck has a white or faded hood and top, and should have front end damage. It also has a toolbox in the bed, along with a spare tire.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information is asked t call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
