Timothy Ray Muñoz, 26, was was speeding along West Roger Road near North Stone Avenue about 2 a.m. Sunday when he struck a curb, hit a block wall across the street and landed on top of a vehicle parked in a yard, police say.
His wife, Inez Marie Romero, 24, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the crash scene.
Muñoz was booked into the Pima County jail on the murder charge as well as criminal damage. Bond was set at $750,000.
