An unidentified juvenile shot and killed one of three people trying to rob him at gunpoint Monday night on Tucson's southwest side, authorities say.
Just after 6 p.m. deputies were called to a home near South Camino De La Tierra and West Los Reales Road following a reported shooting, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
While details are sparse, investigators say preliminary findings indicate the minor shot two of three people during a struggle as the trio tried to rob him at gunpoint, the release said.
One person was shot and killed.
A second person, a juvenile, was taken by an alleged accomplice to a hospital with injuries described as not life threatening, the release said. He was eventually taken to into the Pima County Juvenile Detention Complex.

The third alleged robber has not been located.
