A 28-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash Sunday night when a vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic on Tucson's north side, Tucson police said.
Angela Marie King was driving east in the curb lane in the 4000 block of East Fort Lowell Road about 7:00 p.m. in a red 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage when police say a westbound black 2017 Jeep Wrangler crossed traffic lanes and struck her head-on, police said in a news release.
The driver of the Jeep, an unidentified 23-year-old man, and his 17-year-old male passenger, ran from the crash. Police used dogs and air units to find the pair and detain them nearby, the release said.
Both occupants of the Jeep were taken to the hospital.
The investigation continues and charges are pending, the release said.
