Pima Community College’s fall 2025 first-day enrollment marks an increase of 8% year-over-year, making this the 10th consecutive semester over the last three years witnessing enrollment growth.
“Pima’s continued enrollment growth reflects the trust our community places in us to prepare students for careers and direct entry into the workforce or to help them transfer to a university, depending on their goals,†said PCC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Nasse in a news release.
This year’s first-day fall credit enrollment — measuring the number of courses students take — is 58,349, or 8.24% more than last year.
The fall headcount, which refers to the total number of students taking classes, is 19,186.

Students walk to class at the downtown campus of Pima Community College.
According to the news release, first-day enrollment numbers “don’t reflect increasing enrollment in dual enrollment students, where students take classes in their high schools for PCC credit.â€

The enrollment growth over the past couple of semesters includes: 12.06% in summer 2025; 5.64% in spring 2025; 4.10% in fall 2024; and 9% in summer 2024.
PCC’s traditional 16-week fall semester began last week, but students can still register for 14-week fall classes until Sept. 3, and register for 8-week fall classes till Oct. 19.
In the summer, PCC hosted three in-person “Super Saturday†registration events at its downtown campus in August to help students apply and register for the current fall semester.
At these events, students were given one-on-one support to apply and register for fall classes, meet academic advisors, apply for financial aid and connect with student services, including Student Life, access and disability resources and military and veterans services.
