Steaks won’t be the only thing sizzling in Tucson for Father’s Day weekend.
The hottest temperatures so far this year will peak Saturday through Monday, with highs in the Tucson region and western desert reaching up to 112 degrees on Sunday, the says.
There’s an extreme heat warning in the region from 10 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Monday.

Tucson’s hot and dry Father’s Day also marks the start of the official monsoon season.
On the upside, the precipitation outlook for June 20 through June 26 is leaning toward above normal rainfall, the weather service says.
In fact, the overall forecast for the 2025 monsoon says it is expected to be wetter than normal.
