‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Actor James Handy Dead At 81 After He Was Stabbed By Girlfriend’s Son
James Handy, 81, known for roles in 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'Jumanji,' has died. According to police, he died at a home in Los Angeles on June 3 after being stabbed by his girlfriend's son. The LAPD said officers responded around 9:30 a.m. to a radio call in the 19200 block of Erwin Street and found Handy unconscious in the front yard. He was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and pronounced deceased. Michael Gledhill, 44, was arrested and booked on one count of murder, with bail set at $2 million.
