US-Iran Attack: What We Know So Far...
The United States launched major combat operations with Israel against Iran following the collapse of nuclear talks. Iran said its Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and other senior officials were killed, and state media announced a national mourning period. US Central Command said three US service members were killed and five seriously injured during Iranian retaliatory attacks on regional bases, with others sustaining minor injuries. Iranian aid officials reported more than 200 people killed and over 700 injured across Iran, including casualties from an explosion at a school in the south. Iranian missiles struck Israel, killing at least nine people in Beit Shemesh and one person in Tel Aviv, according to Israeli media and on-site reporting. Iran also launched drones and missiles toward Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, where US forces are present. President Donald Trump said the strikes were conducted under presidential authority without a declaration of war by Congress.
