King Charles’s US visit ‘about future generations, not just the current administration’
Angela Diffley is pleased to welcome Dr. Garret J. Martin, Hurst Senior Professorial Lecturer, and the Co-Director of the Transatlantic Policy Center, in the School of International Service at American University. The US-UK transatlantic relationship is navigating a period of unprecedented friction. While diplomacy through a state visit from King Charles can help sustain dialogue, it cannot repair the growing transatlantic divide triggered by increasing uncertainty over America's alliance with NATO & Europe and the “special relationship” with the UK.
