August storm brings hail to Vail, southeast of Tucson
A storm rolled into Vail Wednesday evening, southeast of Tucson, with rain and hail coming in sideways. Shortly before the rain fall, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning, advising of the possibility of wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour, quarter-size hail, torrential rainfall and continuous cloud-to-ground lightning.
