A 43-year-old motorcyclist died days after a crash on Tucson's southeast side, police say.
About 3 p.m. Thursday, Jason Paul Mifsud was riding a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle west on East Valencia Road when he collided with a 2002 Subaru Legacy that was turning left onto South Columbus Boulevard, Tucson police said in a news release.
Investigators were notified Monday that Mifsud had died.
Mifsud was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, but lacked a valid driver’s license or motorcycle endorsement, the release said. Investigators say they also found illegal drugs in Mifsud's possession. Any impairment will be determined through medical testing, the release said.
The unidentified 23-year-old man driving the Suburu was not injured.
The investigation continues.
