A man walking along a sidewalk last week in a neighborhood on the city's north side was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash, police said.
The unidentified man was walking about 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in the 200 block of East Yavapai Road Thursday when he was struck by a vehicle, Tucson police said Tuesday in a news release.
The identity of the 47-year-old man was being withheld to notify his family, the release said.
The driver fled after the crash. There was no description of the vehicle.
