A 59-year-old man was struck and killed crossing the street on Tucson's north side Wednesday evening, police say.
About 7:45 p.m., Gregory Lynn Harris was crossing outside of a crosswalk in the 3300 block of North First Avenue, near East Fort Lowell Road, when he was struck by a vehicle, Tucson police said in a news release.
Harris died later at the hospital.
The driver stayed at the crash scene. Police say not using a crosswalk was a factor in the crash.
The collision still is being investigated.
