A 44-year-old Tucson man has been sentenced to 156 years in prison after being convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor, authorities said.
Peter Anthony Vonszillasy was convicted after a multi-jurisdictional investigation that began in 2023, Tucson police said in a news release. Pima County Superior Court Judge Christopher Browning sentenced Vonszillasy on Monday following his conviction on 12 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
In November 2023, detectives with the police department's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit were notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that suspected child sexual abuse material had been uploaded by an internet user later identified as Vonszillasy, the release said.
A search warrant for the online data revealed additional child-porn, police said. And a March 2024 search of Vonszillasy’s Tucson uncovered additional images and videos, the release said.
