A man who had been shot early Friday morning southwest of Tucson died Sunday, authorities say.
Aboutt 5:10 a.m. on Aug. 21, William Fitzgerald, 39, was found shot inside a vehicle which had crashed into a wall in the 3100 block of West Capistrano Road, near West Bilby Road and South Cardinal Avenue, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a news release Sunday.
Fitzgerald was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. On Aug. 23, he died of his injuries, the release said.
Investigators believe a second vehicle, a dark colored sedan, was involved in the incident, the Sheriff's said Friday.
The investigation is ongoing and no suspect has been identified yet.
The Sheriff's Department released captured on a nearby home surveillance camera which appears to show two cars driving down a residential street before several gunshots ring out.Â
