The period for free parking at Tucson parking meters could be shrinking.
Parking meters are currently free after 5 p.m. weekdays as well as all day on weekends.
But a proposal being considered by the city could extend the pay window to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday would stay free.
