Boss played in two games as a freshman in 2024 and appeared in 12 games this past season, recording 39 tackles and no interceptions.
The 5-11, 190-pound Boss signed with Wyoming's 2024 recruiting class as a two-star recruit from Chino Hills High School (California). He also received offers from Eastern Washington, Montana State and Oregon State.Â
Boss will be among the multiple cornerbacks available for Arizona in 2026, with the Wildcats losing Treydan Stukes, Michael Dansby and Ayden Garnes to graduation. Other returners include freshmen Swayde Griffin and Dajon Hinton, who started in place of Stukes in the Holiday Bowl and suffered a leg injury. Redshirt junior Johno Price, who played 81 defensive snaps in 2025, is expected to return.Â
The Wildcats signed four-star cornerback Xaier Hiler, a 6-4, 180-pound Dallas-area product, and Chandler Hamilton cornerback Kingston Spivey, the younger brother of Tre Spivey and son of former Tucson Sidewinders star Junior Spivey. The youngest Spivey is joining Arizona as a preferred walk-on.Â
King joins Rusk as tight ends in Arizona's 2026 transfer portal class. King will have four years of eligibility remaining.Â
The 6-5, 230-pound King, who's a Gainesville, Georgia, native, played one season at Southern Miss before entering the transfer portal. King caught two passes for 24 yards in four games and redshirted.
Shane King is the second tight end to sign with Arizona's 2026 transfer portal class.Â
King was recruited by ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñAV offensive coordinator Seth Doege and tight ends coach Josh Miller at Marshall. The tight end signed with the Thundering Herd, but followed former Marshall head coach Charles Huff, who's now the head coach at Memphis following one season at Southern Miss.Â
Rusk started his college career at Eastern Michigan 2021 before transferring to Murray State for a year and Illinois, where he played the last two seasons. Rusk had 19 catches for 217 yards and a touchdown last season at Illinois.Â
King and Rusk join an Arizona tight ends room that returns redshirt junior Tyler Powell, who suffered a season-ending leg injury on the first play from scrimmage in the Wildcats' season-opening win over Hawaii this past season. The Wildcats also return redshirt freshman Kellan Ford. Arizona signed four-star Seattle-area tight end Henry Gabalis for 2026.Â
The Wildcats are losing Cameron Barmore, Sam Olson and Keyan Burnett, who left the program midseason.Â

Washington head coach Jedd Fisch, left, speaks with quarterback Demond Williams Jr. during a timeout during the first half against Michigan, Oct. 18, 2025, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Ex-UA signee leaves UW
Former Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch will be looking for a new quarterback at Washington this offseason, after UW quarterback Demond Williams announced that he's entering the transfer portal after two seasons in Seattle.Â
LSU is considered a favorite to land Williams. Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin, entering his first season in Baton Rouge, recruited Williams to Ole Miss, but the former Chandler Basha star quarterback flipped from the Rebels to the UA in 2023. Williams signed with Arizona as a four-star recruit, but followed Fisch to Washington over a month later.Â
Except there's one problem about Williams leaving Washington: he agreed to a $4 million contract with UW — which made him one of the highest-paid players in college football — four days before he announced his decision to enter the transfer portal.
Washington is planning to take legal action, according to . ESPN reported that Williams had two notable components in his contract, which includes a buyout of Washington, and "the institution is not obligated to enter the student-athlete into the transfer portal or otherwise assist or facilitate the student-athlete's transfer to another college or university."
Williams' situation at Washington begs the question: how can Washington enforce contracts when Williams isn't considered an employee of the school? The NCAA could conceivably enforce tampering violations if he enters the transfer portal with a "do not contact" tag and transfers to LSU.Â
An anonymous official told ESPN: "This is a very important moment in our space about how we're going to behave."
