When Washington football coach Jedd Fisch flew to Las Vegas for Big Ten Media Day recently, he was accompanied by three ex-Wildcats who have emerged as star-level players: running back Jonah Coleman, cornerback Ephesians Prysock and UA quarterback signee Demond Williams, who Fisch says has franchise-QB potential.
They are part of nine ex-Wildcats who, as a group, are UW difference makers. The other Huskies include ex-Wildcat receiver Kevin Green, cornerback Tacario Davis, linebacker Jacob Manu, defensive lineman Ta’ita’i Uiagalelei, pass rusher Isaiah Ward and defensive lineman Russell Davis. Put those nine players on Arizona’s roster and the UA would be a strong contender in the Big 12, a possible Top 25 team.

Fisch’s latest “poaching” maneuver was to hire Matt Hayes as Washington’s senior director of football administration. Hayes had spent four years at Arizona; his last job in the athletic department was senior associate AD for financial operations.
