Three Arizona walk-ons from last season handed over their jersey numbers to incoming Wildcats, according to the official team roster posted to social media.
Freshman forward Dwayne Aristode will wear No. 2, while former walk-on Addison Arnold switched from 2 to 22; freshman wing Ivan Kharchenkov will wear No. 8, while Jackson Francois switched from 8 to 7; and senior guard Evan Nelson will wear No. 21 while Jackson Cook moves from 21 to 11.
Of the Wildcats’ other new players, freshman guard Brayden Burries will wear the No. 5 jersey that KJ Lewis left behind when he transferred to Georgetown, freshman forward Sidi Gueye will wear the No. 15 that departing walk-on Grant Weitman had, freshman forward Mabil Mawut will wear No. 20 and freshman forward Koa Peat will wear No. 10.
No Arizona player has worn No. 10 or 20 since the Tubelis brothers did in 2022-23, when Azuolas was No. 10 and Tautvilas was No. 20.

Arizona’s 16-player roster includes 12 players who were recruited as scholarship (and now rev-share) players, plus four others who were recruited as walk-ons. Eight of the 16 players are new, and only four of the returnees were recruited as scholarship players.

Arizona forward Tobe Awaka (30), left, and guard Jaden Bradley (0), shown double-teaming BYU center Keba Keita (13) at McKale Center last season, will be leaders of the 2025-26 Wildcats.
While men’s basketball rosters are now capped at 15 regardless of whether players are on scholarship, the House settlement included a grandfather provision allowing former walk-ons to retain their roster spots if they still had eligibility remaining.
