A motorcyclist died a day after a crash Sunday afternoon on Tucson's east side, police said.
About 1:30 p.m. Drake Edward Gemrose, 28, was northbound on North Kold Road near East Broadway, when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn, Tucson police said in a news release.
Police said Gemrose had filtered to the front of traffic at a red light at Broadway just before the wreck with a 2015 Toyota Prius as it turned from the southbound left turn bay on Kolb into a shopping center.
Gemrose was wearing a helmet and had a valid motorcycle endorsement associated with his license. He died at the hospital Sept. 1.
The driver of the Prius immediately stopped and cooperated with the investigation. The driver, an unidentified 65-year-old woman, was cited in the crash, the release said.
